Joe Biden makes error reading teleprompter, says, “end of quote, repeat the line”

President Biden mistakenly said, “End of quote, repeat the line,” while making the speech at the White House.

New Delhi: US President Joe Biden made an error while reading from the teleprompter. Biden, standing along with vice-president Kamala Harris was addressing the press on the matter of women’s reproductive rights and the recent order by the Supreme Court regarding abortion.

President Biden mistakenly said, “End of quote, repeat the line,” while making the speech at the White House. “It is noteworthy that the percentage of women who register to vote and cast a ballot is consistently higher than the percentage of the men who do so—end of quote, repeat the line. Women are not without electoral and, or, political—let me be precise: not and, or—or political power,” Biden said while addressing the press.

People quickly caught the gaffe and the part of the speech where Joe Biden makes the error was trending on Twitter. Netizens shared humourous content after this incident took place. Elon Musk wrote on Twitter, “Whoever controls the teleprompter is the real President!”

Republican supporters were active on Twitter as the incident happened.

However, Democrats’ supporters came out in support of Biden.

President Biden later signed an executive order to protect and expand women’s access to abortion and contraception.
