New Delhi: With month-long heated race between Indian-origin Rishi Sunak and Secretary of State Liz Truss for the top post coming to end, the United Kingdom (UK) will elect its Prime Minister today.

Liz Truss has maintained decisive lead against Sunak and is tipped to become the next Prime Minster of United Kingdom. She has been leading the race for past several voting rounds, though Rishi Sunak was the frontrunner for the coveted post in early 5-6 rounds of voting.

The results for UK Prime Minister election will be announced by the Conservative Party at around 11:30 AM GMT on September. According to India Standard time, the announcement will happen by 5 PM.
