New Delhi: In Pakistan’s Sindh, a 16-year-old Hindu teen was abducted and forcefully married to a Muslim man. After being abducted, she was first converted to Islam.
To seek support, the Hindu community has staged a protest in from of former Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari’s house in Nawabshah.
According to reports by the Dawn, it is said that the girl was abducted a week ago in Qazi Ahmed city of Sindh province.
Slogans were raised by the protestors against the police and they also demanded former president Asif Ali Zardari to intervene in this matter and help them recover the abducted girl.
However, the police said that the girl has eloped with the Muslim man.
Rejecting the claims made by the police, Hindu Panchayat vice president Lajpat Rai said that a delegation of the Hindu community had met the SSP in this matter but did not get any help.
