Plane crashes in Nepal with 68 passengers and 4 crew members on board; Jyotiraditya M. Scindia says “extremely unfortunate”

New Delhi: A plane with 68 passengers and four crew members crashed in Nepal’s Pokhara today ahead of landing.

The plane ATR 72 Yeti airlines aircraft crashed between the old airport and the Pokhara International Airport.

Following the tragic incident, the Government of Nepal summoned an emergency meeting of the cabinet.

The video and images of the plane crash shared on social media showed plumes of smoke billowing out of the crash site.

Jyotiraditya M. Scindia said the loss of lives in a tragic plane crash in Nepal is extremely unfortunate.

Video of airlines ahead of the crash has also gone viral on social media where the airlines can be seen loosing balance.
