Students pose for graduation photos in war affected Ukraine (VIRAL PHOTO)

New Delhi: Students in Ukraine posed in front of wrecked buildings for their graduation group photos. The buildings destroyed by the Russia-Ukraine war were used as a background for group photos by some students.

The photos were shared by Daria Kaleniuk, an executive director at Anti-Corruption Action Centre in Ukraine, on Twitter. She tweeted the photos writing ‘Graduation at Chernigiv school’.

The photos went viral and have been liked by 78.8K Twitter users and re-tweeted 12.5K times. Reuters told that pictures were captured by Stanislav Senyk. The 25-year-old said that after experiencing the traumas of the war firsthand, he intended to capture the “very important story” of about 40 graduating seniors from schools. Senyk wanted to keep that photos as a memory of what has happened.  “And 10-15 years from now, when they have their own children, they can show those pictures to them,” said the New York Post quoting Senyk.

Many users showered positivity in their comments under this post. The students received blessings and wishes in the comment section. A Twitter user replying to the tweet said, “My late father spent the first decades of his life living through conflict & war. He had to start over several times, but there was *one thing* that men with guns could never take away from him — the education that he carried in his head. Congratulations to the graduates!”.

There were a total of 13 students in the photograph who smiled and posed with confidence while Russian forces continue their assault in Ukraine. Currently, there is a fierce battle taking place for the city of Severodonetsk.
