New Delhi: A series of brutal violent acts for the past couple of decades has resulted in an increasing discourse on Islamic extremism across the world.

Talking of the most recent incident on the domestic front, India has seen the brutal killing of a poor tailor in Udaipur for a mere social media post in support of suspended BJP leader Nupur Sharma.

The gruesome attempt to behead the tailor Kanhaiya Lal is not the first ISIS-style murder, but the country has seen similar killings on the religious grounds in form of Kishan Bharwad in Gujarat and Harsha in Karnataka.

The crimes have not only drawn massive outrage in the country but have also found voices of condemnation from far away countries.

Netherland’s Member of Parliament Geert Wilders is one such name, who had made headlines for openly supporting former BJP leader Nupur Sharma amid row over her controversial remarks on Prophet Muhammad.

Also, condemning the horrifying killing of Kanhaiya Lal, Wilders had tweeted, “Please India as a friend I tell you: stop being tolerant to the intolerant. Defend Hinduism against the extremists, terrorists and jihadists. Don’t appease Islam, for it will cost you dearly. Hindus deserve leaders that protect them for the full 100%!”.

Now, the Dutch MP has shared a shocking screen shot of a document wherein the latter is subjected to death threats over his support for India and Nupur Sharma. The pic in the document shows a scary image of Wilders with a dagger stabbed to his neck.

Wilders took to Twitter on Friday and wrote, “This is what I get for supporting India, Hinduism and #NupurSharma. But I am not afraid. Jihadists can go to hell”.

However, the social media users have lined up in support of the Dutch Parliamentarian in the comment section. Have a look:

Meanhwhile, this isn’t the first time Wilders has received death threats. Earlier, the prior had shared screen shots of a series of online threats to him over supporting India, Hinduism and Nupur Sharma.
