UK Man orders groceries online, retail company delivers human poop to his house instead 

New Delhi: The Internet these days is filled with several ‘food delivery gone wrong’ stories but what 59-year-old British man Phil Smith experienced after ordering groceries is something that went beyond every possible limit of disgust and disbelief.

As per s report published by the New York Times, Phil, who resides in UK’s Lancashire, was delivered human poop instead of the groceries he ordered from an online shopping portal and the same left him traumatized and humiliated.

Man receives poop after ordering groceries online

Things went South after Phil decided to purchase grocery items worth Rs 15,500 (USD 186) to restock his food supplies after coming back to his home from a month-long vacation. Soon, he received two shopping bags which he took inside his house thinking they contained the food items he had just bought for himself.

However, while he was taking his order to the kitchen, one of the bags fell off his hands, and what he saw after that left him startled and disgusted.

As soon as the bag touched the ground, human poop started leaking out of it and Phil couldn’t believe his eyes. He then quickly went on to check what was inside the other bag and found diarrhea inside it as well.

Refuses to take compensation

Infuriated after receiving the worst home delivery of his life, Phil almost immediately made a call to the food grocery store and narrated the whole ordeal. The store then apologized to him for the inconvenience caused and even offered to give him a refund and compensation for the same.

However, Phil made it clear to the store that he just wanted them to take the poop-filled bags out of his house and return his money back to him.

The British man further said that he does not care about money or compensation anymore and in case the store gives him any extra money to make up for its mistake, he will donate the same to animal charities.

As per the reports, Phil later complained to the local government about the incident while the store also initiated an inquiry into the matter.
