Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky’s letter to PM Modi: He requested for additional medicines and medical equipment.

New Delhi: Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday requesting India for additional medicines and medical equipment.

This letter of requests by President Volodymyr Zelensky came at a time when Ukraine’s deputy foreign minister Emine Dzhaparova was in India during his three-day visit when she met minister of state for external affairs Meenakshi Lekhi.

In the statement, the Ukrainian Deputy FM also proposed that it could be a good opportunity for Indian companies for rebuilding infrastructure in Ukraine.

According to FM, the letter from President Volodymyr Zelensky was handed to Minister Meenakshi Lekhi on Tuesday (April 11) when Dzhaparova met her.

The Ministry said that Ukraine President Zelenskyy in his letter to PM Modi has requested India to provide more humanitarian aid for the Ukrainians who are in worst situation ever since the deadly war broke out in 2022.

In the statement it was also mentioned that the next Inter-Governmental Commission between New Delhi and Kyiv would be held in India on a mutually convenient date.

Dzhaparova and Lekhi also exchanged their views on global issues of mutual interest and bilateral issues.

Following the meeting. the Indian Government assured of providing an enhanced humanitarian assistance to Ukraine.
