New Delhi: While China & United States engage in heated war of words over US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s scheduled visit to Taiwan, there is growing concern that the tense situation may escalate into a military row.

China has already issued warning to US over ‘interference’ in Taiwan as the former considers Taipei as its own territory.

Russia has also reacted to the controversy and accused the Washington of trying to destabilize the world peace.
According to Reuters report, the Chinese warships & aircrafts squeezed the median line, a move seen as highly provocative.

Taiwan reports cyber attack on President’s office

While tempers escalate over Pelosi’s scheduled visit to Taiwan, the website of Taiwan’s presidential office is said to have received an overseas cyber attack. Taiwan government’s website was down with a 502 (server overload) error.

According to Taiwan’s Presidential office, the traffic on its official website increased 200 times higher than that of normal day, leading to the website crash for 20 minutes.
