New Delhi: Amidst reports of Xi Jinping slated to get another term as General Secretary of Chinese Communist Party, the closing ceremony of the ruling Congress witnessed abrupt scenes on Saturday.

Hu Jintao, former Chinese President and the immediate predecessor of Xi Jinping was today mysteriously escorted out of the closing ceremony of Communist Party congress.

The 79-year-old Hu Jintao was seated just next Chinese President Xi Jinping and escorted out of auditorium of Great Hall of the People by two people. In the video, Hu Jintao can be seen being taken out of the meeting.

The reason behind his mysterious exit from the meeting is not yet known.

The video has been watched by lakhs of people and is being shared frantically on social media. It has set tongues wagging about ongoing turbulence in Chinese political sphere. There are wide talks of Xi Jinping-led Communist Party crushing dissent within and rallying behind him for another term.

Reports said that Hu Jintao was looking unsteady on Sunday, the day when Communist Party Congress meet started. He was assisted by someone on that day too.
