Speaking on the incident, Du Na, a professional medical physician at the Fourth People’s Hospital of Chengdu, later explained that the lady, identified as Xiaoyu (nickname), started acting abnormally when she was studying in her initial year of university.

It was during that time that she sparked a passionate romantic bond with her boyfriend which eventually took the shape of an unhealthy toxic relationship over the years.

As time went by, Xiaoyu’s dependence on her lover escalated at such an alarming rate that she started feeling the urge to have him around 24/7.

Things worsened even further when she started calling her boyfriend over and over again, wanting him to respond to her texts and calls as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, even in a recently circulating viral video on Chinese social media, the obsessive girl, during a WeChat call with her boyfriend, was heard telling him repeatedly to turn on his camera. However, when the guy ignored her request, she got visibly upset with her frustration evident on her face.

While remaining silent on the exact reasons that cause Love Brain, Xiaoyu’s doctor explained that those who grew up having an unhealthy relationship with their parents and suffering from anxiety & depression are more prone to get this condition.

People having this borderline personality disorder condition are not ideal for having a relationship & can end up getting heavily dependent on their parents as a child and partners as adults on extreme levels.
