New Delhi: A horrific video from Syria’s Raqqa city, showing a group of men brutalizing a lady in broad daylight, is lately going viral on social media.
The rapidly circulating clip features the victim crying in pain while pleading for mercy from the aggressors who keep continuously striking her angrily.

As the clip begins, we see a man dragging the girl by her hair while simultaneously striking her with a stick.
Although the woman constantly screams in agony and calls for help, neither of the bystanders comes to her aid & silently watches her getting hammered by the accused.
Moments later, several other men, including one teenager, join forces with the attackers and thrash the helpless woman with kicks, slaps & sticks.

Taking to the comment section, netizens are now reacting to the bone-chilling video and raising concern over the prevalent extremism against women in the Middle Eastern country.
While some are urging the local authorities to take appropriate action against the assaulters, others are claiming that the orthodox Mysognist mindset of the conservative society is the main reason behind such crimes.

Who were the Attackers?
According to Syrian local media, the video is of Feb 2024 when the female was taken to the streets & publically attacked by her family in an attempted “honor Killing” crime.
However, there’s still no clarity regarding the current health condition of the victim and the exact reason behind the assault.
