New Delhi: A lightning strike was seen on camera on a clock tower in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, and the footage has since gone viral. In the footage, lightning is seen striking a clock tower on a soggy night. The sky is spectacularly illuminated following the lightning. The video was recently published on Twitter by a user going by the handle Mulham H, who claims to be an astronomy scholar at King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah. At the centre of the city, a tall clock tower stood out. The apex of the clock tower was suddenly struck by a powerful lightning strike that burst from the sky. Soon, the entire sky was illuminated, and the thin strip of lightning appeared to extend its branches. Even though it was a fantastic sighting, the scene was also unsettling. Social media users were astounded by the video after seeing it.
