New Delhi: In a rare incident reported from US’s Clark County, a defendant man plunged himself on a lady Judge who denied him probation on Wednesday. The Man’s sudden attack left the judge as well as the court Marshall and a video of the same is now doing rounds on social media.
In the viral clip, recorded by courtroom camera, one can see the man launching a surprised attack on the female judge Mary Key Hothlus soon after she denied bond to him in the county district court located in Washington.
The same video also shows the court staff quickly intervening & punching the accused right after he jumped and landed on the Judge’s chair. Thanks to the court Marshall’s brave efforts, the culprit was overpowered and brought down before he could cause any significant harm to the lady judge Mary Kay Holthus.

Attacker screamed, ‘F**k That Bitch’
As per the reports, the attacker, who has been identified as Deobra Redden (a repeated felon charged with attempted battery & significant bodily harm) was present in the courtroom while Judge Mary Kay Holthus was sentencing him.
During the sentencing, the judge denied the probation request of Redden’s attorney and said, “I appreciate that but I think it’s time he gets to taste something else.” This was all that it took to enrage Redden who then rushed at Holthus to attack her while shouting “F*k that B*ch” on top of his lungs.
Court Marshall stable in the hospital
Although Redden’s unexpected attack didn’t cause any major harm to Judge Hothuls, it did leave her with a minor head injury that will take a couple of weeks to heal properly.
The physical struggle with Redden also caused significant injuries to the court Marshall who was later hospitalised due to the same. His condition is now reportedly stable.
