Watch Video: Ukrainian man stops a Russian tank with bare hands, Internet lauds his courage

The video was posted on the Instagram handle of Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs which shows a citizen being rapidly pushed back on the street by a massive Russian tank.

New Delhi: In the wake of the invasion by Russia in Ukraine, a Ukrainian man was seen in an attempt to stop a Russian tank with his hands in the street of northern Ukraine’s Bakhmach. The impressive video was shared by the country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs earlier today.

The video was posted on the Instagram handle of Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs which shows a citizen being rapidly pushed back on the street by a massive Russian tank. However, the man bravely put his bare hands against the front of the moving military vehicle to push it back with the force of his body weight, in an attempt to hold the vehicle from moving further. The video continues to show that the vehicle slowing down to stop.

Following this, the man fell on his knees in the middle of the road with the local residents rushing to him. Reportedly, the tank was a part of a Russian convoy passing via the town of Bakhmach on Saturday, the third day of the attack.

Another video of the same man was shared on Instagram by the ministry where he is seen hanging from the front of the Russian tank before he jumps down and halts the process.

The video is attached with a caption that read, “Russia has been lying for years about how the Ukrainian authorities are keeping the people of Ukraine in ‘captivity’. The reality is, though, the Ukrainian people are free and ready to stop Russian tanks with their bare hands if need be.”

This man is just another example of the heroes of Ukraine who had the courage and perseverance to go against the trained Russian troops. Several civilians are picking up guns or fighting bare-handed against Russia to save their motherland.

Entering into the sixth day of war since the declaration made by Russia’s President Vladimir Putin, more than half of a million people have fled from the war-torn country, as per UN’s refugee arm and at least 352 civilians including 14 children have been killed, according to Ukrainian authorities.
