New Delhi: Jonathan Jacob Meijer, a man from Netherlands who is suspected of fathering over 550 children has been asked to stop from donating any more of his sperm.
According to BBC report, Jonathan Jacob Meijer, 41, could also be fined more than 100,000 Euros (Rs 90,41,657) if he any case tries to donate his sperm again.
The incident came to limelight after a foundation and the mother of one of the children filed a lawsuit against him in Hague.
The judge alsoordered him to not contact any prospective parents.
Who is Jonathan Jacob Meijer?
By profesion, Jonathan Jacob Meijer is a musician.
He is 41 years old. Currently, he is based in Kenya.
Jacob donated sperm to at least 13 clinics, out of which 11 clinics are located in the Netherlands.
According to the guidelines by the Dutch clinical, the sperm donors cannot donate their sperm to more than 12 women or should not father over 25 children.
He started to donate sperms from 2007.
From the time he started donating sperm he has so far produced over 550 to 600 children.
Jacob was banned from donating to fertility clinics in the Netherlands in 2017.
Instead of stopping sperm donation, he carried on donating his sperm online and offline.
However, the lawyer of the donor said in the court hearing that he wanted to help the parents who were unable to conceive.
