Who is Mayushi Bhagat? Indian woman added to FBI’s “Missing Persons” list after 3 Years

According to the information released by the FBI, she was enrolled at the University of New Hampshire and then the New York Institute of Technology (NYIT).

New Delhi: The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has added Mayushi Bhagat, who is missing from New Jersey for the last three years, to its list of “Missing Persons” and is has asked for assistance from the public on her whereabouts.

The 28-year-old Indian woman, was last seen in April 29, 2019, in the evening hours while she was leaving her apartment in Jersey City, New Jersey.

Mayushi was last seen wearing colorful payjma pants and a black T-shirt. Her family reported about she missing on May 1, 2019.

Her features has been described as 5 feet 10 inches tall, medium build with black hair and brown eyes.

She had gone to the United States (US) in 2016 on an F1 Student Visa.

According to the information released by the FBI, she was enrolled at the University of New Hampshire and then the New York Institute of Technology (NYIT).

On Wednesday, FBI’s Newark Division added her to the list of “Missing Persons” on its webpage, said FBI Special Agent in Charge James Dennehy.

It is said that Mayushi knows how to speak English, Hindi, and Urdu and she has friends in the South Plainfield, New Jersey, area.

The FBI further said that anyone with information about her should contact the local FBI office or the nearest American Embassy or Consulate.

Her picture has also been put up by the FBI om its website under the “Most Wanted” list of “Kidnappings/Missing Persons.”
