New Delhi: The Karachi suicide bomber, 30-year-old Shari Baloch had completed MSc in zoology and was married to a doctor.
She was from Niazar Abad in Balochistan’s Turbat. The responsibility for the attack was claimed by the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA).
According to a statement released by the Afghanistan-based militant organisation, Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), she was pursuing M Phil and was a practising science teacher.
It is said that Shari Baloch had joined the special self-sacrifice squad of the BLA’s Majeed Brigade two years back.
According to BLA, Shari Baloch was offered to opt-out of the squad because of her two young children, but she had denied.

Now, the Majeed Brigade has threatened to target more Chinese nationals and China’s interests in Balochistan and Pakistan.
It is said that Niazar Abad was given time to change her decision but she had refused and in the last two years,
Following the Majeed Brigade’s procedures, she was given time to revisit her decision. During these two years, Shari Baloch had given her service in the different units of the Majeed Brigade. It was six months back that she had confirmed about her decision of carrying out a self-sacrificing attack and was actively involved in the mission.
