A simple product which is used in bedrooms that help us to take a proper nap. A Netherland-based physiotherapist created a pillow that sells for a startling $57,000. (Rs 45 lakh).

According to the website ” Tailormadepillow”, the Gold Edition has a 24K gold cover, the world’s first real gold fabric. This gold cover blocks all electromagnetic radiation during the night, for a safer and healthier sleep. The zipper has a huge 22,5-carat sapphire with 4 diamonds.

The core of the pillow is made out of premium Dutch memory foam and fully tailored to the customer using a 3D scanner.

This pillow is made by Thijs van der Hilst for over fifteen years. Reportedly, it is made of Egyptian cotton, contains Mulberry silk, and has non-toxic Dutch memory foam within.

Pillow is packaged in a branded box. The website claims “to create the perfect sleeping experience for everyone”.

Therapist Thijs van der Hilst started making custom-made pillows in 2003. As a cervical specialist, he used to advise his patients to buy a proper pillow. But he himself could not figure out what was the right pillow for the patient.
