“Remember Prem?”: Anand Mahindra shares update on Manipur teen who built ‘Iron Man’ suit from scrap

“I was very pleased when Pratap told me that Prem’s had a successful summer internship, working on advanced car door opening mechanisms”

New Delhi: Industrialist Anand Mahindra’s love and passion for finding humour and inspiration on social media is unparallel, and is probably the key reason for his every other post impacting a wide section of people on the internet.

The Mahindra Group chairman recently shared an update on Prem, a Manipur teen who had grabbed headlines last year for creating an ‘Iron Man’ suit from scrap.

Watch:

“Many of you may remember Prem’s story. We were delighted when he accepted our offer of joining Mahindra University where he is now an engineering student. And this past summer he interned at Mahindra’s Auto Design Studio under the tutelage of Pratap Bose”, wrote Mahindra in his latest tweet.

The post from the automaker started doing rounds on the Indian side of social media as twitteratis shared the update in masses and found it extremely inspiring and heartwarming.

Further giving more details, Mahindra added, “I was very pleased when Pratap told me that Prem’s had a very successful summer internship—working specifically on advanced car door opening mechanisms. Most important Pratap praised Prem’s inclination to ‘learn by making things.’ We need more of that mode of education!”.

The business tycoon had first introduced Prem with his online followers in 2021 via a tweet that read, “Move over Tony Stark. Make way for the REAL Iron Man. And it would be a privilege to assist him & his siblings in their education. If someone can connect me to him, it will be a privilege for me & K.C. Mahindra Education Trust to support him…”.
