Salman Khan backed BollyCoin’s Dabangg NFT collection is live now; Details inside

The recently launched BollyCoin, an NFT platform that deals with exclusive Bollywood content announced that their first NFT collection from Dabangg film franchise is live now.

New Delhi: The recently launched BollyCoin, an NFT platform that deals with exclusive Bollywood content announced that their first NFT collection from Dabangg film franchise is live now. The project co-founded by producer and actor Atul Agnihotri has collaborated with Salman Khan Films, Arbaaz Khan Productions, Sohail Khan Productionz, Reel Life Productions, and Salman Khan for NFTs. The project aims to bring Bollywood to the blockchain by offering fans an opportunity to invest in historical Bollywood vestiges like sequences, dialogues, posters, collectables, and character art.

Reportedly, in the history of Indian cinema, Dabangg is the fourth largest movie franchise with a box office amounting to Rs 439 crore. From the three sequels of Dabangg, 200 unique NFTs will be created. Now, out of those 200, there will be 42 actual movie scenes from all three films sold as NFTs.

Notably, historically this is the first time an actual movie scene can be purchased, owned, and traded as NFT. Other NFTs are in the form of art such as BollyBitz inspired by the CryptoPunks bit style, while others are signed posters and other iconic media.

The Dabangg NFT collection is divided into four parts. The first third of the first part is one of eight drops includes nine scenes from Sonu Sood’s dialogues and sequences. These are sold for 16 eth ($60k). Besides, 10 BollyBitz NFTs are sold for 7.19 eth ($27k), accounting for $87k. At this point, it can be regarded that this NFT collection to be one of the biggest NFT collections launched in the country.

The Dabangg’s NFT collection’s drop will conclude in February. Initially, they will be featuring the villains of the film, followed by heroines, family characters, and finally, Chulbul Pandey played by Salman Khan. BollyCoin is aiming to launch eight auctions within this collection, building up to Chulbul Pandey NFT, which is regarded as holding the highest value.

People who will be purchasing those NFTs will be a member of The Green Room, a club for exclusive rewards. The first perk of being a member of The Green Room is that the concerned person can speak to Arbaaz Khan over an exclusive digital meeting and will be informed of stories behind the franchise. Another perk is that the concerned person will get access to 25% more Chulbul NFTs.
