According to the official figures by Health Ministry, the total recoveries have reached over 43 lakh, which is just 11 lakh short of total 54 lakh Corona cases.
Higher testing has led to early identification of positive cases and timely and effective treatment has resulted in low mortality, said government. In last 24 hours, more than 94,612 Covid-19 patients have recovered.
The Ministry said, effective implementation of Centre’s ‘Test-Track and Treat’ approach has led to higher recoveries and lower fatality. Currently, India’s Case Fatality Rate is at 1.61%, which is one of the lowest globally. In the last 24 hours, 1,133 Covid deaths were reported, taking the toll to 86 thousand 752.
The constantly increasing recoveries have ensured that the actual caseload of the country is reduced and currently comprises only 18.72 per cent of the total positive cases. Presently, the total number of active cases in the country is 10 lakh 10 thousand.
The Health Ministry said, while the number of daily tests has increased as an integral part of CHASE THE VIRUS strategy, States have been advised that all symptomatic negatives of Rapid Antigen Tests are mandatorily subjected to RT-PCR.
