Covid-19 recovery rate climbs to 85.52%, recovered cases exceed active cases by almost 7 times

With over 59 lakh recoveries till date, India has the distinction of having maximum recovery from Covid-19 pandemic. As the gap increases between recovery & illness, the number recovered patients has also exceeded active cases by nearly 7 times.

With over 12,000 patients cured in last 24 hours, recovery rate improves to 58.67%

New Delhi: There has been a steady fall in the number of new Covid-19 cases with active cases staying below 10 lakh for past three weeks.

‘Testing, Tracking and Treating of Corona patients’ strategy of Home Ministry has proved instrumental in posting improved recovery numbers on regular basis.

In last 24 hours, 78,000 recoveries were recorded while the number of active cases declined to 8.93 lakh.

Out of total reported cases, only 12.94% are currently reported to be hospitalized. The country continues to register steady growth in terms of recoveries, with recovery rate improving to 85.52%.

Covid-19 recovery - Corona recovery

India’s Case Fatality Rate stands at 1.54%, which is almost half of the current global average.

In last 24 hours, 70,496 new cases have been reported, taking total tally of positive cases to 69 lakh. In all, 964 deaths were reported in last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 1,06,490.

Early identification through aggressive and wide scale testing, prompt and effective treatment in hospitals and supervised home recovery as well as facility isolations have actively led to a high recovery rate in the country.
