Covid-19: Recovery rate improves to 85.81%, 73,272 new cases reported in last 24 hours

According to Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), more than 11.64 lakh tests were conducted, taking the cumulating tally of testing to over 8.57 crore.

New Delhi: India continues to improve its Corona recovery rate with each passing day. Inching towards 90%, the recovery rate has now reached 85.81%. In last 24, more than 82,000 patients have recovered.

According to Health Ministry data, total number of recoveries stands at 59.88 lakh. Increasing recoveries have ensured that the actual caseload of the country significantly gone down and now only 12.65% of total positive cases. Presently, the total number of active cases in the country is 8.83 lakh.

In past 24 hours, 73.272 fresh Covid-1 9 cases were reported taking the total number of positive cases in the country to over 69.79 lakh. Its because of Centre’s strategic and graded Test-Track-Treat approach that has led to higher recoveries and lower fatality.

Covid-19 recovery - Corona recovery

Currently, India’s Case Fatality Rate is at 1.54%, which is one of the lowest globally. In past 24 hours, 926 deaths have been reported taking the toll to 1.07 lakh.
