Delhi’s Covid hospitals told to install CCTV cameras in all Corona wards in 24 hours

New Delhi: Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah on Monday directed the Delhi Chief Secretary to install CCTV cameras in coronavirus wards of every COVID-19 hospital. He directed the Delhi Chief Secretary that back-ups for canteens supplying food should also be established so that in case there is an infection in one canteen, patients can continue to get food without disruption.

Delhi covid hospitalFollowing this, the Delhi government has issued orders for installing of CCTV cameras in the all Corona wards to ensure efficient monitoring and supervision of patient care.

“PWD, Govt of Delhi is directed to install CCTV cameras in all covid wards within 24 hours and submit a compliance report in this regards,” read the order issued by Vikram Dev Dutt, Principal Secretary in Health & Family welfare department of Delhi Govt.

500 isolation coaches for Delhi

Earlier in the day, the Centre approved 500 isolation coaches for Delhi to help the city meet growing challenges of pandemic.

The 500 converted rail coaches will account for 8,000 beds and will work as self-sufficient isolation coaches.
