The total number of cases has risen to 1,35,598 including 10,705 active cases and 1,20,930 recovered/discharged/migrated patients.

Total number of Covid-19 cases have crossed 10 lakh but the silver lining is that the recovery rate is also very high. Till now, more than 6 lakh people have recovered out of 10 lakh contracting Coronavirus.

"Less than 1.94 per cent of the cases are in ICUs, 0.35 per cent cases are on ventilators and 2.81 per cent cases are on Oxygen beds," the health ministry said today.

In every containment zone of Delhi, all people including affected, non-affected, symptomatic or asymptomatic will be tested for free. The Central government will bear the cost of tests.

“PWD, Govt of Delhi is directed to install CCTV cameras in all covid wards within 24 hours and submit a compliance report in this regards,” read the order

The number of cases of COVID are "constantly increasing and at some point of time in near future, apart from existing hospitals, a large number of temporary make-shift hospitals will have to be created in order to accommodate COVID-19 patients,", the Centre said.

The five hotels identified for the purpose are - Hotel Crown Plaza at Okhla Phase-I, Hotel Sheraton at Saket, Hotel Surya at New Friends Colony, Hotel Siddharth at Rajendra Place, Hotel Jivitesh at Pusa Road.

After each contact with potential coronavirus patients, staff should disinfect all CT and MR machine gantries, noninvasive ultrasound probes, blood pressure cuffs, and mouse and keyboards at imaging stations.

When an epidemic occurs, a physician should not abandon his duty for fear of contracting the disease himself.
