India Covid-19 case crosses 1-Lakh mark for the first time

Active COVID-19 cases recorded at 7,41,830, while 1,16,82,136 people have recovered from disease so far, said Union Health Ministry.

New Delhi: India reports 1,03,558 new COVID19 cases, 52,847 discharges, and 478 deaths in the last 24 hours, as per the Union Health Ministry

With these additional cases, the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country has reached 1,25,89,067.

With 478 new deaths, the death toll in India has gone up to 1,65,101. There are 7,41,830 active cases in the nation as of now.

Furthermore, the nationwide recovery tally to 1,16,82,136.

Meanwhile, total vaccination done till Sunday is 7,91,05,163.

From April 2, the government started vaccinating all people above 45 years. India started its vaccination drive on January 16 with priority given to all healthcare and frontline workers in the first phase. The second phase started on March 1 where doses were administered to people above the age of 60 and those between 45 and 59 years with specific comorbidities
