As soon as the administrative officers got the news, officials immediately reached the spot. Umesh informed that he was administered the first dose of Covacin on February 25. He was scheduled to take the second jab on March 25 but due to some unforeseen circumstances it got delayed. So, he went for the vaccination on 13th April for the second dose.

CMO AK Srivastava clarified that no side effect has been seen due to the mixup. “However, this incident should not have happened and all the health workers have been instructed to give second dose of the same vaccine [beneficiaries were] administered before,” he added.
