ABVP launches email campaign, seeking resumption of academic activities in JNU

ABVP has initiated the “Mass Email Campaign”, wherein the students can directly email the Admin through http://abvpjnu.htmlsave.net in protest of its indecisiveness and inaction.

New Delhi: ABVP-JNU on Tuesday started mass email campaign to put forward its demand for resumption of academic activities in the Central University.

There has been no response, in this regard, from the JNU administration for the memorandum of demands submitted to the academic council in June, this year.

ABVP-JNU has repeatedly written to the Vice Chancellor, Dean of Students and the Registrar to initiate the necessary proceedings for resuming academic activities. But, no response came from the authorities in this regard, irrespective of the MHA circular. ABVP has initiated the “Mass Email Campaign”, wherein the students can directly email the Admin through http://abvpjnu.htmlsave.net in protest of its indecisiveness and inaction. There has been an overwhelming response on the part of the students in the ongoing campaign.

Shivam Chaurasia President ABVP-JNU said, ” It has been over 6 months that students have neither been able to access their research laboratories and belongings in hostel nor has the administration made any arrangement for entry in a phased manner. The administration must be getting several mails from students demanding the same and therefore it should democratically respond to a public campaign as this.”

Govind Dangi, Secretary ABVP-JNU said, _”The administration needs to take steps and ensure that students are able to restart their academics. If a viable solution is not provided then we will be forced to take further course of action as per the requirement.”
