AIAPGET 2021: NTA postpones exam, registrations to start later

AIAPGET is an online exam and is the only way to get admission for MD, MS and PG-Diploma in AYUSH courses offered in insitutions across the country.

New Delhi: The National Testing Agency postponed the All India Ayush Post Graduate Entrance Examination (AIAPGET) – 2021 due to the ongoing surge in Covid-19 cases across the country. The announcement made on Wednesday said, “In view of a steep upsurge of COVID 19 cases in the country, it has been decided to postpone the AIAPGET – 2021 for a minimum of three months. The revised date for the exam will be announced later on.” AYUSH is an abbreviation for ‘Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy’ system of medicines.

The online registration for filling in the application form for the AIAPGET – 2021 will also be “announced at a later stage,” the exam was scheduled for June 7.

AIAPGET is an online exam and is the only way to get admission in postgraduate AYUSH courses. All India and state quota seats are included in the exam for the admissions in MD, MS and PG diploma courses in AYUSH colleges, universities and institutions across the country..

This is another addition t0 the list of entrance exams which have been postponed by the Central govt. due to the second wave of COVID-19 in the country. Other exams which have been postponed are- JEE Mains (May session}, JEE Mains (April session), NEET PG 2021 and CBSE Class 12 Board Exams.

India reported 4,12,262 new cases of COVID-19 virus on Thursday, highest since the start of the pandemic last year, while 3,980 lost their lives to the virus.
