New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Tuesday announced the date sheet for Class 10th & 12th board examinations for the year 2024.
The dates were released on the official website of CBSE – cbse.nic.in or cbse.gov.in. The examinations for Class 10th & 12th will begin on February 15, 2024 and will culminate on April 2, 2024.

According to information furnished by the Examination co-ordinator Sanyam Bhadrwaj, the CBSE Class 12 board exams will be conducted from February 15 to April 2, 2024 while Class 10 board exams will be held from February 15 to March 13.
The examinations for higher secondary & senior secondary will take place in two shifts – 10:30 am to 12:30 am (first shift) and second from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM.

As per the examination schedule, the Class 12th exams will be held on dates — February 15, 16, 17, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 28, 29, March 1, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 18, 19, 20, 22, 23, 26, 27, 28, 30, April 1 and 2.
Class 10th exams will be February 15, 16, 17, 19, 20, 21, 23, 24, 26, 28, March 2, 4, 5, 7, 11 and 13. Some of the main exams are:
The datesheets for private candidates will remain the same as no separate dates have been earmarked for the same.
Usually, the datesheets are announced approximately 1 to 1.5 months prior to examinations. In 2023 academic year, Class 10 exams ended on March 21, while Class 12 exams were extended until April 5.
The CBSE also announced that it will not award any division to the ward for the respective classes from this year. Also, the board has purportedly decided to break away from the tradition of calculating & declaring percentage of marks.
