Gujarat CM meets and greets award winning teams of Innovation festival organized by UNICEF

The Chief Minister said that the state government has provided a platform for children’s innovation through such festivals to transform children’s innovative imaginations and dreams into reality.

New Delhi: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani attended award winning ceremony of winners of Innovation Festival organized by Gujarat University Startup and Entrepreneurship Council – UNICEF. On this occasion Chief Minister greeted 30 winning teams participated in Innovation festival.

Gujarat CM expressed commitment to encourage the child minds equipped with the wealth of knowledge and science for new creation-innovation. In this context, he said that children should be encouraged to find solutions of the state-nations problems through new innovative ideas from school life.

The Chief Minister said that the state government has provided a platform for children’s innovation through such festivals to transform children’s innovative imaginations and dreams into reality.

Encouraging the children, the Chief Minister said that when Prime Minister Narendrabhai Modi gave slogans like Startup India, Standup India, Make in India, Digital India, these were just look like slogans only but as we can see today it has played pivotal role in transforming nation and become a definition development.

Innovation festival

Vijay Rupani said that startup innovation has created a new spirit in the country with Make in India that the dreams that did not come true for 70 years of independence are now coming true.

He also outlined the strategies that Gujarat has adopted in the field of startups, including the Startup Policy, Student Startup Innovation Policy to promote young startups.

Gujarat today has become a startup hub with 43% of startups across the country and I-Create, which was started in collaboration with Israel.

The Chief Minister also expressed his desire to solve the problems of all the departments of the state government by organizing a hackathon of such promising innovations-startups.
