
New Delhi: After CBSE, now the government of Jammu and Kashmir Government has announced the cancellation of JKBOSE Class 10th Exam 2021 due to the rising number of COVID-19 cases. As for the JKBOSE Class 12 exams, the government has decided to postpone the exams for a month. This news comes as a big relief to the students across the Union Territory, as they were the ones demanding the cancellation amid the ongoing COVID-19 situation.
Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha made the official announcement on ‘Office of LG J&K’ Twitter account. The tweet said, “In view of rising cases of #COVID19, Class X ongoing exams for remaining subjects has been cancelled and their promotion to class XI will be decided on the basis of their performance in subjects already undertaken in present exam and internal assessment.” He also added that “In case of ongoing XII exams, it has been postponed and it will be reviewed after one month.”

On-going Class 10 Board exams cancelled
JKBOSE Class 10 Exams 2021 are already underway after the first exam on 3rd April 2021. But now the J&K govt. has decided to cancel all the pending papers. Class 10 exams would have ended on April 24, 2021, whereas, Class 12 exams were scheduled to continue until 29th April 2021. After cancellation, Class 10 students will be assessed for their efforts and on the basis of their performance in the exams held till now.
