NEET 2021 exams to be held on September 12, registration from tomorrow

Now, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has confirmed that the NEET examination 2021 will be held on 12th September.

New Delhi: Amid the ongoing pandemic, medical aspirants across the country were awaiting the NTA (National Testing Agency) to announce the examination dates for NEET 2021 examination. Now, the newly appointed Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has confirmed that the NEET examination 2021 will be held on 12th September.

Pradhan tweeted, “The NEET (UG) 2021 will be held on 12th September 2021 across the country following COVID-19 protocols. The application process will begin from 5 pm tomorrow through the NTA website”. . Earlier the exam was scheduled on 1st of August this year.

The number of examination centres will also be increased.

The minister further elaborated in his tweet, “In order to ensure social distancing norms, the number of cities where the examination will be conducted has been increased from 155 to 198. The number of examination centres will also be increased from the 3862 centres used in 2020.”

The announcement comes at a time when many states including Maharastra, UP and Haryana will soon be declaring results for 10th and 12th classes of various boards including CBSE and State boards. The exams of these classes were cancelled in view of the second wave of covid-19 and the result will be prepared by different internal assessments criteria as per the concerned education board.
