NIRF Rankings, 2023: Here are Top 10 Engineering Colleges in India

IIT Kanpur & IIT Roorkee have been ranked at Rank 4 & Rank 5 while IIT Kharagpur & IIT Guwahati have been ranked at Rank 6 & Rank 7 spot.

New Delhi: The Ministry of Education on Monday released the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) Ranking for year 2023. In the NIRF list of engineering colleges, the Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) have occupied the top most slots in the Top 10 engineering colleges list.

NIRF Rankings 2023 is 8th edition of the list of Top educational institutions.

IIT-Madras has topped the list of top engineering colleges in the country and is followed by IIT Delhi & IIT Bombay on 2nd & 3rd slots. IIT Madras was topper in the list, last yea also.

IIT Kanpur & IIT Roorkee has been ranked at Rank 4 & Rank 5 while IIT Kharagpur & IIT Guwahati have been ranked at Rank 6 & Rank 7 spot.

National Institute of Technology (NITs) are other set of engineering colleges in the country, where education standards are of optimum level.

The NIT Tiruchirappalli which ranked at 8th position, slipped to 9th spot this year. Jadavpur University has also secured a place among Top 10 this year.

Every year, the NIRF rankings are released based on various parameters. Last year, the education body released data under 4 categories and for 7 subject domains… ranging from Engineering to Medical to more. This year, two more subjects were added to the list – Agriculture & Allied Sectors.
