No announcement made for summer vacations: Karnataka Education Minister

Rumors were that schools are going to announce summer vacations due rising Covid-19 cases in the state. The state witnessed over 900 cases second day in a row. Bengaluru alone reported 628 cases on Sunday.

New Delhi: S Suresh Kumar, Karnataka Education Minister clarified on Sunday that there is no announcement of summer vacation and promotion without examinations for school going students in the state. Due to some rumors spreading about the summer vacation of school students, Education Minister clarified the issue.

Rumors were that schools are going to announce summer vacations due rising Covid-19 cases in the state. The state witnessed over 900 cases second day in a row. Bengaluru alone reported 628 cases on Sunday.

The other rumor was that the State Government was deciding to promote students without examinations which was being spread through different mediums. The minister dismissed all such reports as fake.

Talking about the many initiatives to continue learning measure of the state, he sads “Many programs through Akadhavani being presented for the benefit of the children of one to the fifth-grade government school in the classes are also taking place on television as well”.
