Pratibha Puraskar: 64 students honoured with Aditya Mandya award

On this occasion, Jagadguru Dr. Shri Gurusiddha Rajayogendra Mahaswamiyagu, Abhinav Shiva Siddarameshwar Mahaswamiyagu and Chairman Basavaraja Horatti were present.

Hubli: A felicitation program was recently organized to honour the meritorious students and acknowledge their achievements in the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) and Pre-university (PU) exams.

A total of 64 students were awarded with Aditya Mandya, who scored more than 95 marks.

Among those honoured also included Shruti Yaragatti, 362nd rank holder in UPSC exam, Basavaraja Umarani, a blind genius of human computer fame, Aishwarya Balehosur, a shooting genius, and Aishwarya Hubballimath, a rope skipping genius.

Legislative Council member Jagadish Shettar said that there is a need to reform Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC), as the body has often got entangled in controversy & scandals.

Speaking at the Pratibha Puraskar and Merit Awards, he said that the recruitment conducted by the Central Public Service Commission (UPSC) is transparent but there was pressing need for reform in KPSC recruitment.

Vidhan Parishad Chairman Basavaraja Horatti said that today all fields are very competitive.

Dharwad District Kasapa President Dr. Lingaraja Angadi, Veeranna Kallura, Vijayakumar Shettar, Veeranna Neeralagi were present on the occasion.
