‘Sanghi who never went to a Shakha’ hits bookstands, getting rave reviews

The book, written by Rahul Roushan, is about the story of a person who hated the word ‘Sanghi’ but ended up wearing it on his sleeve. This is Rahul Roushan’s first book. Prior to this, he was the founder of Faking News.

New Delhi: ‘Sanghi who never went to a Shaka’ – the much awaited book has hit the bookstands and is selling like hot cakes. In fact, days before its official launch, the book went out of stock on Amazon.

The book, written by Rahul Roushan, is about the story of a person who hated the word ‘Sanghi’ but ended up wearing it on his sleeve. This is Rahul Roushan’s first book. Prior to this, he was the founder of Faking News, a satirical news website and had no interest in politics or ideology. He shot to fame in 2009-10 when he used ‘Pagal Patrakar’ pseudonymn he used while writing for Faking News.

The book has been published by Rupa Publications, a publication house based out of New Delhi.

Book receives admiration from all quarters

The book is winning all-round admiration and praise from all quarters, including the political and entertainment fraternity.
Soon after launch, Union Minister Smriti Irani and Bollywood celebrites like Kangana Ranaut and Vivek Agnihotri took to Twitter to congratulate the author.

The book ‘Sanghi Who Never Went To A Shakha’ is a story of a person who was born in a ‘Congressi Hindu’ family but became a Modi supporting ‘Sanghi’ – without attending a single shakha (regular gatherings) of the RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) volunteers or without even being a fan of Narendra Modi from his earlier years. It is not just the story of an individual but rather the story of a generation.
