New Delhi: Final results for Combined State/Upper Subordinate Services Examination-2020, commonly known as PCS -2020. were released by theUttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) on Monday.
A total of 476 candidates have been declared successful against 487 vacant posts in 24 categories, said UPPSC secretary Jagdish. The results have been uploaded on the official website at uppsc.up.nic.in.

A total of 4,589 candidates appeared for the PCS Mains 2020 conducted from January 21 to January 25. UPPSC declared the results for Mains 2020 on March 20 in which 845 candidates were selected for the interview round.
UPPSC secretary said that 43 candidates remained absent during the interview round held between April 1 and April 8. “No candidate was found suitable for 11 posts of Child Development Project Officer,” he added.
Jagdish also said that candidates with “provisional” written against their names need to present relevant documents in front of the commission in time limit set by the commission. In case they fail to do so, their selection would be cancelled. He further added that the results of these recruitment exams are under the final decision of the Allahabad High Court in the Special Appeal (D) 475/2019 filed by the Uttar Pradesh government.
Vacant posts for which the PCS-2020 was conducted include: deputy collector, deputy superintendent of police, block development officer, assistant regional transport officer, assistant commissioner (commercial tax), assistant sugar commissioner, superintendent jail, manager credit (small industries), manager marketing and economic survey (small industries) and district commandant home guards, treasury officer/accounts officer (treasury), cane inspector, executive officer grade-I/assistant nagar ayukta, district basic education officer/associate DIOS along with other equivalent administrative posts like assistant director industries (marketing) and assistant labour commissioner.
