Bangalore: A video of 4 college students dancing in a Burqa has surfaced on the Internet. The video is said to be from St. Joseph Engineering College in Mangaluru. Notably, all 4 students were suspended by the college management as soon as the video went viral on social media.

In the video, the students were seen wearing a burqa and dancing to a popular Bollywood song. Meanwhile, the audience is also applauding the performance. Reports suggest that event was organised by the Students Association during the inaugural ceremony of the association. The college administration has said in a statement that dance was performed by some Muslim students who went on the stage informally.

In a statement released by St. Joseph Engineering College read the performance was not part of the approved program. The students who were part of this performance have been suspended pending an inquiry. The statement further said, the college does not support or condone any such activities that can harm the harmony between the communities and everyone
