Abeer, the protagonist of the story represents an urban youth who like many others, earns his livelihood and sometimes take time off work for partying. Akshat says, a chance meeting with an amazing acquaintance moved him so much that he got tempted to pen this book. Inspiration behind the book are real life characters. The writer has drawn inferences from his experiences, many of his daily acquaintances, friends and inter-related friends.
Abeer, the main character is a man of discipline and will power. He is someone who has a modern outlook and practical approach to life. Despite being surrounded by drug addicts, he has maintained his sanctity, however, smoking has become a part of his life. To solve the intricacies of life, he meets multiple therapists, attends counseling sessions but all that fails to alleviate his mental agony.
When life is bereft of opportunities and devoid of options, that is when the Almighty God comes to your rescue. Abeer was in for a pleasant surprise when he met Meera, whose never-ending optimism was infectious among a society full of nihilists.
She is a woman who is older but in all other ways totally different from everything he has seen. He sees her as someone he could love but also someone he could learn a lot from. He saw her as a lover and a mentor.
Abeer never imagined that a chance meeting with Meera will have such soothing impact on his life.
