New Delhi: The much-awaited Aamir Khan-starrer Laal Singh Chaddha is all set to hit the theatres in August. Besides, the makers of the film have also announced that the film will be making an OTT release as well. According to reports, the film is slated to make a digital release in the first or second week of October.

As per the report by BollywoodLife.com, a source informed that the movie is expected to not arrive on OTTs before its scheduled time depending on the film’s fortune at the box office. The deal between the makers and exhibitors states that the OTT release of the film is scheduled eight-nine weeks apart from its theatrical release.

Laal Singh Chaddha is the Hindi adaptation of the 1994 Hollywood classic Forest Gump, which is an Academy Award winner. The story revolves around Forest Gump played by Tom Hanks, brushing through a number of important events in American history.

Laal Singh Chaddha which also stars Kareena Kapoor in pivotal roles focuses on the journey of a disabled boy who overcomes his impediment and undertakes a life-changing cross-country marathon.

Naga Chaitanya and Mona Singh play important roles in the film as well. The film is produced by Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao, and Viacom18 Studios. Owing to Covid-19 the film was postponed multiple times and is now set to release on August 11, 2022, in theatres worldwide.

In terms of the work front, Aamir Khan has a lot of films lined up. Recently, he announced the Bollywood remake of the Spanish sports drama Campeones. The film made an entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 2019 Oscars. Besides, he also met Hichki director Siddharth P Malhotra who liked one of the story ideas and asked him to develop it into a script.

The actor will also be working on two biopics. One is Gulshan Kumar’s biopic named Moghul while another is based on a controversial lawyer.
