New Delhi: Veteran actor Anupam Shyam passed away on Monday due to multiple organ failures. The actor was suffering from kidney ailments for the past few years. Even his family came forward for financial aid for his treatment.

Now Anupam’s brother Anurag has revealed that the late actor met Bollywood actor Aamir Khan to request him to get a dialysis centre for his treatment in Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh.

In an interview, he said that Bollywood actor Aamir Khan had given assurance to him to build a dialysis centre in Pratapgarh but later after some time he stopped picking up the calls from Shyam.

He also said that the late actor was upset with the news that his show Mann Ki Awaaz Pratigya 2 would soon be pulled off the air.

His brother mentioned that Anupam was sad as he wasn’t able to meet their mother when she was ill. Anurag said that Anupam could not come as Pratapgarh as there was no dialysis centre in the city as he was on regular dialysis for a kidney ailment.

Anurag also revealed that a few days back Anupam had to be admitted to a hospital after he drank more than permitted water which eventually affected his lungs. His condition was improving and even doctors had even removed him from the ventilator. After then suddenly Anupam’s blood pressure level dropped which lead to an attack and multiple organ failure.

Anupam was best known for playing antagonists, and it was the TV show ‘Man Kee Awaaz Pratigya’ that made him a household name.
