Actor Arun Govil, best known for playing lord Ram in Ramayan TV series, joins BJP in Delhi

New Delhi: Actor Arun Govil, best known for playing lord Ram in Ramayan TV series joined  BJP in Delhi today.

He is populary known for his Bollywood hits such as Sawan Ko Aane Do (1979) and Jiyo to Aise Jiyo (1979), and was very popular as the sage Vikramaditya in the TV series Vikram Aur Betaal.

Arun Govil joins BJP

He joined the BJP just ahead of the assembly elections in four states and the union territory of Puducherry.

Brought up in the cantonment town of Meerut, Govil, the son of a waterworks engineer, studied in a number of schools across Saharanpur and Shahjahanpur. After school, he enrolled for a BSc at Meerut and completed it from Mathura.
