New Delhi: Many Bollywood celebrities have lately been tested positive for Coronavirus be it Ranbir Kapoor, Manoj Bajpayee, Satish Kaushik, Nikki Tamboli, Gauhar Khan, or any other actor.
Now TV show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma has come under the radar of the virus. Mayur Vakani and his wife from the TV show have been tested positive for COVID19 mainly seen as Sundarlal, Mayur Vakani has been hospitalized in Ahmedabad after getting reports, on the other hand, his wife is quarantined in the home itself.
His wife said, “He shot for a few episodes of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah and returned on March 7. A few days later he developed a few symptoms, but initially, we thought it could be because of traveling. However, after we did the test, his report came COVID-19 positive. Actually, Thoda delay hogaya in getting the test done. He was admitted on March 11 at a hospital in Ahmedabad.”
She added, “Now, we both are fine. As I am asymptomatic, I am in-home quarantine. Mayur will undergo another test maybe by tomorrow and will be discharged in a day or two.”
Mandar said that as soon after his tests came out to be positive, he had informed the unit of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah to take a break from the shooting. For now he is under home quarantine and all the necessary precautions are been taken by him.
“I have told Sonalika and Palak also to get themselves tested. Rishi, an AD on the show had a bit of cold and I told him too, he has thankfully tested negative,” Mandar added. Meanwhile, Sonalika Joshi, who onscreen is Mandar’s wife, and Palak Sindhwani, who is Mandar’s daughter for the show, also got their tests done and are waiting for the reports.
Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has been one of the longest-running shows on Indian television. The cast of actors includes Raj Anadkat, Amit Bhatt, Shailesh Lodha, Dilip Joshi, Sunayana Fozdar, Tanuj Mahashande, Munmun Dutta, Mandar Chandwadkar, Sonalika Joshi, and many more.
