New Delhi: One of the most adored couples in Bollywood is that of Abhishek and Aishwarya Bachchan. Aishwarya and Abhishek are commemorating their 16th wedding anniversary today, April 20.

On April 20, 2007, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan exchanged vows in a private ceremony at the Bachchan home in Mumbai, Prateeksha. After four years of marriage, the couple brought their daughter, Aaradhya, into the world on November 16, 2011.

According to Abhishek, the pair first got together in 1999 while working on a photo shoot for Dhaai Akshar Prem Ke.

1. Dhaai Akshar Prem Ke (2000)


The key characters of the romantic drama movie Dhaai Akshar Prem Ke are Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Raj Kanwar is the director and Ashok Ghai is the producer of the movie.

Despite the movie’s poor box office performance, Jatin-Lalit’s music was positively received.

2. Kuch Naa Kaho (2003)


The romantic comedy-drama movie Kuch Naa Kaho was made by Ramesh Sippy and directed by Rohan Sippy. Along with Satish Shah, Suhasini Mulay, and Jaspal Bhatti playing supporting parts, the film featured Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, and Arbaaz Khan in the key roles.

Critics gave the movie a mixed bag of reviews, however they did praise it for its filming, acting, and music. Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy’s music for the movie was a major success, with songs like Achchi Lagti Ho, Tumhe Aaj Maine Jo Dekha, and the title tune Kuch Naa Kaho being very well-known.

3. Dhoom 2 (2006)


Action-thriller Dhoom 2 is a film that Aditya Chopra and Sanjay Gadhvi both produced. Leading parts in the film are played by Hrithik Roshan, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Bipasha Basu, and Uday Chopra.

It was a financial success and got praise for the cast performances, soundtrack, and action scenes. Its cinematography is very chic and aesthetically pleasing. One of the most successful Bollywood films ever was Dhoom 2.

4. Umrao Jaan (2006)


Aishwarya Rai plays Umrao Jaan in the film, with supporting performances by Abhishek Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, Sunil Shetty, and Divya Dutta. Both reviewers and viewers had conflicting opinions about the film, with some appreciating Aishwarya Rai’s performance and the soundtrack.

5. Guru (2007)


The movie Guru, which Mani Ratnam co-wrote, directed, and starred Mithun Chakraborty, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Madhavan, Vidya Balan, and Roshan Seth, was released in 2007.

With hit songs like Barso Re and Tere Bina, it has a well-regarded soundtrack created by A. R. Rahman. Guru was well-received by critics and prosperous in the market.
