New Delhi: Yes, it is confirmed that Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are finally getting married today. The intimate ceremony will be taking place at RK’s house in Vastu. Although the couple has not been sharing any details about their wedding, Neetu Kapoor and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni confirmed it while talking to the media. Besides, from the morning, several celebrities, close friends, and relatives have been reaching the wedding site.
Recently, a source stated to the leading news portal Indian Today that the couple’s reception venue might have shifted from Taj Colaba, Mumbai to a new location.
Alia-Ranbir’s wedding reception
Previously Alia Bhatt’s brother, Rahul Bhatt stated that the couple’s wedding will be taking place at Taj Colaba. However, the duo is tying the knot at Vastu. Now, reports confirm that Alia and Ranbir’s reception which was said to happen at Taj Colaba will take place at Vastu. The reception is scheduled to take place on April 16.
According to the source, seeing the media and paparazzi scuffle with the guests’ cars, the families of Ranbir and Alia have decided to keep the reception venue the same as that of the wedding, which is Vastu in Bandra. Owing to the security worries at Taj Colaba, the respective families decided to keep the venue at Ranbir and Alia’s Vastu apartment in Bandra. The reception guest list will be selected celebrities and invitations have already been sent out.
Alia-Ranbir’s wedding deets
Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor have been tight-lipped about their wedding. However, Ranbir’s mother Neetu Kapoor, and sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahni have confirmed Alia and Ranbir’s wedding. Besides, the theme of the wedding will be pastel and the two are opting for Sabyasachi and Manish Malhotra attires for the day. The wedding rituals will take place at 11 AM while the pheras will happen at 3 PM. The haldi function followed by chooda ceremony will be held in the morning.
According to the sources, the wedding guest list includes Karan Johar, Shah Rukh Khan, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Akansha Ranjan Kapoor, Anushka Ranjan, Rohit Dhawan, Varun Dhawan, Zoya Akhtar, and a few Bollywood celebrities.
