New Delhi: For the very first time, film producer and actor Alia Bhatt’s uncle Mukesh Bhatt has spoken to the media about her niece’s high-profile wedding with actor Ranbir Kapoor.
Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt’s brother said that his sister-in-law Soni Razdan has restricted everyone from pitching any details of the wedding in the public and hence he too can’t speak about it.
Although, he also said that he will share more details and stories once the wedding is concluded.
For the past couple of weeks, the news of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s wedding has been making rounds and several close family members of the duo have reacted to it including Ranbir’s mother Neetu Kapoor.
Speaking to Aaj Tak, Bhatt said, “I am not in a position to tell anything at this time. My sister-in-law (Soni Razdan) has refused to discuss anything about this marriage. After marriage, I will give a complete interview to you that when the marriage took place and how it happened. I just don’t want to discuss.”
Recently, when asked Neetu Singh was about Ranbir and Alia’s wedding rumors, she had told Bollywood Hungama, “I’ve also been hearing so many rumors. I think they should now do it, so many rumors are floating around. This has been going on for two years now. Sometimes they’re rumored to get married in Rajasthan, sometimes somewhere else, now it’s RK Studios.
“It’s going on for two years… I wish I knew. I also don’t know. But I wish it was true. They can’t be trusted, you know how these two are. These two are busy in their own worlds and can do anything. Today we’re doing the interview, they might have gotten married.”
For the unversed, Ranbir and Alia fell for each other on the sets of their upcoming film Brahmastra. The duo first appeared in the public as a couple at actor Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja’s wedding reception in 2018.
Ayan Mukerji’s upcoming film Brahmastra will mark their first-time onscreen chemistry. The movie also features megastar Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna Akkineni and Mouni Roy in lead roles.
