New Delhi: The ‘power of Bollywood’ transcends all barriers & frontiers – was the message by the Union Minister of Information & Broadcasting when he shook a leg with actor Ranveer Sigh at the India Expo in Dubai.
The ever-energetic Ranveer persuaded I&B Minister for grooving to a Bollywood song ‘Malahri’ from his 2016 film. The video of their dancing together went viral on social media. It was shared by Union Minister Anurag Thakur on Instagram.
The Minister was at the India Pavilion in Dubai to hold a conversation with the actor on “The Global Reach of Indian Media & Entertainment Industry”.
The actor, dressed in red, persuaded and pulled in the Minister for dance moves. Subsequently, the duo were seen swinging to the hit song “Malhari” from the actor’s 2016 blockbuster movie “Bajirao Mastani”. While the duo shook a leg, the crowd cheered and hooted for them.

At the event, Anurag Thakur talked about Bollywood’s contribution to bridging the gap between India & Indians living abroad.
“I feel by next year India should become the content subcontinent of the world. People across all sections of society are breaking into a song at the sound of India, it’s a huge contribution of the Indian film industry,” I&B Minister said.
