Bollywood Drugs Case: Bigg Boss fame Ajaz Khan detained by NCB

According to sources, Ajaz Khan’s name came to light after the arrest of drug peddler Shadab Batata in the drugs case.

New Delhi: Bigg Boss fame Bollywood actor Ajaz Khan has been detained by the NCB in the drugs case. As soon as he reached Mumbai from Rajasthan, he was taken into custody at the airport.

According to sources, Ajaz Khan’s name came to light after the arrest of drug peddler Shadab Batata in the drugs case. The NCB team is also conducting raids at several locations in Andheri and Lokhandwala of Ajaz.

NCB arrested Shadab Batata, son of Farooq Batata, Mumbai’s biggest drugs supplier, and recovered drugs worth nearly Rs 2 crore.

Earlier, Ajaz Khan was arrested by Mumbai police for his alleged communal remarks. He reportedly made these remarks during a Facebook LIVE interaction.

he said this in Facebook live, “If an ant dies, a Muslim is responsible, if an elephant dies, a Muslim is responsible. If there is an earthquake in Delhi, a Muslim is responsible, i.e. a Muslim is responsible for any incident. But have you ever thought who is responsible for this conspiracy.”

He was also vocal about the Bandra incident, where hordes of migrant workers had burst on to the streets in hope of going home. Speaking on the incident, Ajaz had insinuated that this incident was also pre-planned by BJP to defame Muslims and in turn defame Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and Aditya Thackeray.

Who is Farooq Batata?

Shadab Batata is the son of Farooq Sheikh alias Farooq Batata. Farooq used to sell potatoes when he first came to Mumbai. While selling potatoes, Farooq came in contact with some people of the underworld and to date he is the largest drugs supplier in Mumbai.
